WIE - Wirtschaft. Initiative. Engagement.

WIE - Wirtschaft. Initiative. Engagement. is an initiative comprised of companies taking an active role in society in order to support civic involvement. The companies of WIE work in cooperation with stakeholders from the state as well as civil society in order to meet the social challenges and duties together.

The members of WIE contribute their own civic involvement and expertise with the goal:

  • to further develop its own role as a partner of civil society and politics and to increase the impact of its civic involvement,
  • to improve and strategically organise the cross-sector interaction of all stakeholders
  • to make the social engagement of companies more visible in the context of the political agenda regarding civic involvement, and
  • to strengthen the principles of corporate social responsibility within the company by bringing decision makers in politics and civil society together, the exchange of ideas among experts and Peer-Learning with the member companies.

    With workshops, publications and public events, the CCCD stimulates corporate citizenship discourse in Germany as well as the practices of engaged businesses.
