Strategy
ACN promotes the point of view of European citizens in all public policies areas, focusing on patients’ rights, consumers’ rights, corporate citizenship and EU active citizenship. This point of view is always based on civic information, i.e. data collected and analyzed by citizens’ organizations themselves.
It is embodied in civic instruments such as: the European Charter of Patients’ Rights, the European Charter of Active Citizenship, the Guidelines for good CSR partnerships in Europe, etc. These instruments are available to all organizations interested in contributing to the promotion of citizens’ rights in Europe.
BBE Bundesnetzwerk Bürgerschaftliches Engagement
Michaelkirchstr. 17-18
Berlin, 10179
The members of the Bundesnetzwerks Bürgerschaftliches Engagement (BBE) strive for the common goal – to create the best possible legal, institutional and organizational conditions for civic involvement in a sustainable way.
The BBE regards support for civic involvement as a sociopolitical responsibility, which includes all areas of society and politics and not only a select few. The goals, therefore, include strengthening individual responsibility, participation and initiative of citizens as well as developing new forms and processes in social decision-making processes. In order to do this, BBE focuses on breaking down bureaucratic barriers and supports the continuing development of ‘friendlier’ conditions in organizations and institutions for civic involvement.
CCCD is sponsored through the program "Geben gibt. Unternehmerisch. Partnerschaftlich. Transsektoral.", in which the goal is to support infrastructure and innovation in civil society. The program is a platform for a group of selected nonprofit organizations and specifically targets the management level. By targeting leaders at this level, the program strives to strengthen innovation and to create a more sustainable infrastructure in the organization through employee and organizational development.
Within this program advanced training is offered, including workshops with external experts from the foundation’s Young-Leaders-Alumni Group. The advanced training program also incorporates Peer-Coaching and Peer-Learning elements. Additionally, the participating organizations are sponsored through a financial contribution, personal support and the integration in the Young-Leaders Network, or in other words, through the foundation’s various programs.
