The Global Network for Corporate Citizenship is an international alliance of leading corporate responsibility experts and "close to market" academic centers around the world, working together to advance research, advocacy and education on the changing role of business in society and to help build the capacity of businesses worldwide for sustainable value creation.
Corporate Citizenship aspires to redesign the rights and responsibilities of companies as co-members of society and co-residents of the planet. It calls for new ways of sustainable value creation, placing at the core of corporate strategies and operations issues such as the respect and promotion of Human Rights, the respect of adequate labor standards and inclusion at the work place, the fight against climate change and environmental harm. Corporate Citizenship has zero tolerance with corruption, and presumes transparent and accountable behavior in relation with shareholders and stakeholders. It recognizes business' contribution to society through strategic community investments, but emphasizes that the main impacts of business will be through development and provision of profitable products and services designed to improve the well-being of society as well as through responsible and accountable behavior in its core operations.

Lab-Center for Competitiveness
Grenoble School of Management
12, Rue Semard
Grenoble, F-38000
The Lab-Center for Competitiveness has emerged from the affiliation that Grenoble Ecole de Management has developed since 2009, with the Institute for Strategy & Competitiveness, at Harvard Business School, led by Professor Michael E. Porter.
Its mission is to analyze and promote the determinants of competitiveness and economic development viewed from a bottom up, microeconomic perspective, which represents the dimension where wealth is ultimately created, but more importantly where the conditions for sustainable and prosperous economies can be found.
It operates both research-driven activities and a pedagogically designed course platform where students of a dedicated course can get exposed with issues of national development, shared value and prosperity, analyzed through the lens of the case method across Countries throughout the world.
The Lab-Center has a strong applied research focus and it wants to offer its services as a bridge between academia, applied research conducted by students and Fellows and communities at large. Since its inception in January 2010, the Lab-Center has produced 12 case studies, all related on the issue of how countries can reach sustainable growth and prosperity. The cases have been deposited on the ECCH website and are available to educators worldwide.
To date, the center comprises 11 renowned Fellows, ranging from a number of Institutions worldwide and has a rich agenda for governmental advising and consulting, with a focus to the emerging economies.
The focus of our research mainstreams strategies of firms, the vitality of clusters, and quality of the business environment in which competition takes place, to the benefit of a responsible competitiveness. These factors are critical to the creation of a socio-economic agenda, which aims at the sustainability of businesses, nations and societies at large. The issue of poverty and its alleviation through socially driven economic interventions and responsible investments is also a crucial crossroads of the center's mission.
The Lab-Center for Competitiveness studies competition and its implications for company strategy, the competitiveness of nations, regions and cities and aims at developing awareness, research and instruction around the solutions that can lead to the alleviation of today's social problems.
